Uganda Water Harvesting Project

Dear Rotarians, Soroptimist, Humanitarian Organizations, Friends and Family.

We are planning a special Portland Metropolitan Rotary Meeting Monday October 12th to discuss our St. Andrew’s School Water Harvesting project.  This meeting will include our Uganda Partners: White Salmon, Beaverton, West Linn and SE Portland in addition to any other clubs that you may be interested in inclusion.

We will meet in person at the Eco Lounge at 3850 N Mississippi.  Some will come in via Zoom onto a large screen TV in the Lounge.

  • The lounge has 7' high X 14' wide windows that will be fully open for plenty of air flow, yet inside conditions in case of rain.
  • It is large enough for social distancing and masks are required.
  • There is a full kitchen, so bring something to share. We'll provide lots of dishes to allow for each to have their own service.

Any and all representation from our wonderful HUMANITARIAN friends will be greatly appreciated.  Our Portland Metropolitan Rotary meetings usually begin at 6PM but when there is delicious food we have historically begun at 5:30PM.  Everyone is invited to our gathering to benefit students in Uganda who are currently “swimming upstream” against infestation, Corona virus, flooding, abuse and ignorance. They need our help fighting water born disease as they climb against the wall of indifference toward education and autonomy to become all that they can be in a messy world.  Clubs and individuals are welcome to attend and/or to contact President Kris @ 503-343-3403 for specifics. Your voice will be heard.

If You or an associate cannot attend on the 12th we are most happy to facilitate a Zoom presentation for your group individually. Please note on your responsive email:  UGANDA in the subject line.  The presentation will feature:
